And the answer is....

Tada! It is an 8 foot loft bed for Jaakan's room! It is so tall! My clever husband designed it and built it from scratch. For the past week he would go to bed thinking about it and wake up thinking about it...and now...poof...its done! It has splendid shelves for me to fill with stuff and a storage loft under the bed for me to fill with more stuff. And! It is tall enough for us to walk under without stooping and sturdy enough for an adult to climb (however, I think I will not be climbing it for at least 3 months) but it held David!

Twinkle Lit Building

Is it a fence? Nope, that would require us to have a yard...not a commoners item in SoCal. Is it a ladder? Nope, that would indicate somewhere exciting to go. Is it a jail for Jaakan? Nope, she doesn't move very far or very fast quite yet. Well, whatever it is...it sure looks nice under the twinkle lights.

Once Upon a Time...

Once upon a time there was an evil blue mattress. Now, to look at the mattress you might not immediately see the evil. Its blue threads were shiny and there was delicate roses decorating its surfaces. One day, the blue mattress attacked the husband and it had to go. The husband and his henchmen hauled it secretly to the neighboring dumpster where it could no longer do its evil mattress things. But, alas, the husband could not have his pregnant wife sleep on the floor...so...in its place came a beautiful plush foam mattress. The family was safe and the husband slept soundly again.
